Grading and Sizing

Grading

Shopping military surplus means you accept that items may not always look exactly like the photos because these items may be used, or have been stored for years if not decades.

With that, we have a standard grading system to help outline expectations on our military surplus:

  • Grade 1:  New/unissued or Like New.  These will be items with minimal amounts of wear, sometimes still in the bag or with tags even.  Most of the time not, but there will be no major staining or tears in the fabric and will come fully serviceable
  • Grade 2:  Issued gear showing obvious signs of use.  We maintain that Condition 2 items are fully serviceable (i.e. all features and hardware intact)
  • Grade 3:  Issued gear with heavy wear, in most cases expect the items to require some repair due to tears in the fabric, missing hardware or features (broken zippers, missing snaps).  These items aren't yet trash, and with some TLC can still offer plenty of serviceability for people on a budget or who don't mind a little project to work on
