Genuine German issue waterproof poncho. From person experience this is one of the few ponchos that are ACTUALLY waterproof, and that is why it is heavier than most ponchos. 

You are going to be getting a mix of greens when ordering this, they are older. But they should all be some shade of green.

It’s big. It’s green. It’s waterproof. It’ll keep you dry. Dry=warm. Warm is good. I almost bought a wool one for $150 from 5 Star Alts but wool gets wet, for 1/3 the price German poncho does not. Save money and be dry.

Great poncho, except one thing...

This poncho really is awesome! Truly water proof, it makes an amazing layer for beding down in the field, and great for layering up on an OP. However, it doesn't handle extreme cold(Arctic Conditions) very well. Once the temperature drops into the low single digits and negatives the poncho freezes up and can become really rigid. Still an awesome product though!
